For those that do not know, a Han Solo prequel movie has been in the works for a while now. The prequel is to be written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller of The Lego Movie. It is just one of many planned anthology films, spin-off movies set in the Star Wars universe that are not directly linked to the main series.

The big question is: who will play young Han Solo? Finding someone with the star power to play the swashbuckling space rogue in his formative years is a tall order. This came as no surprise to Miller and Lord as they auditioned 2,500 actors in their quest to fill those iconic shoes. Miller and Lord searched far and wide for someone with: “the charisma and magic swagger” to fit the role.

Names that were rumoured to be captaining the Millennium Falcon included Chris Pratt, it seems Pratt has been rumoured to be helming every large franchise at some point. His name has also been thrown around to play Indiana Jones in a prequel of that series. The world clearly thinks he has a striking resemblance to Harrison Ford.

Hail Ceaser

However, Pratt did not ultimately land the role. At the Star Wars Celebration 2016 which took place in London, it was announced that Alden Ehrenreich had secured the role. You may have seen Ehrenreich previously in Stoker.
