The stars are coming out for the first ever UFC event in Madison Square Garden. Lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez and featherweight champion, Conor McGregor are in talks. Also, Donald Cerrone is set to take on Robbie Lawler in one of the most exciting welterweight bouts in recent years.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Lawler has pulled out of that fight but that should be taken with a pinch of salt at the moment. None of the reputable MMA news sites are reporting this and the UFC have not confirmed it. I sincerely hope this is not true.

tim-kennedyIn addition, Yoel Romero vs Chris Weidman is slated for the card. Speaking of fights in the works for UFC 205, a big middleweight clash will likely be added to the card. Rashad Evans is slated to fight in the middleweight division for the first time against Tim Kennedy.

Kennedy has been rumoured as a possible opponent to welcome Evans to the 185 pound division for some time now. It looks like that fight is moving ahead although it is not official just yet. This fight has the potential to be really exciting.
