Fans of Joss Whedon know him for such works as Dollhouse, Firefly and Buffy. If you enjoy his work you will be excited to hear that he is working on a unique project. In an interview with Complex, via ScreenRant, Whedon revealed that he is working on a horror project. The reason this is so unique is because it is set in WW II.

“It’s definitely a departure from the things that I’m known for. It’s as dark as anything I’ve ever written.” Whedon continued: “It’s a historical fiction/horror movie about a time when the world was going insane, World War II.”

Whedon also made a comparison between the USA in 2016 and Germany in the 1930s and 40s. “I got to tell you, I was in Germany and Poland doing research for this movie and I was seeing so many parallels (to the USA). And I know it’s a shopworn thing to compare the orange guy to the little guy with the mustache, but you see things, indelible things in terms of propaganda, the state of the country, and the parallels are eerie as f*ck”.

Personally, I am a huge fan of Whedon’s work and I eagerly anticipate what comes next. I am especially excited to see this period horror movie he is writing. For more news and reviews from the world of entertainment, hit the subscribe button!
