The IBF have ordered a title eliminator bout between ‘Big Baby’ Jarrell Miller and Kubrat Pulev. The two contenders will be competing to become the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight championship.

Jarrell Miller is a relatively new face, on the ascent through the heavyweight ranks. Although he has not yet faced any huge names, many have given him the nod as a future challenger to Anthony Joshua.

Kubrat Pulev, was supposed to face Joshua back in October 2017 but was forced to withdraw due to injury. However, Pulev has remained at the top of the IBF rankings.

The bout is scheduled to take place on July  28th which is fairly soon. This could put pressure on Deontay Wilder to accept whatever terms he is given for the Joshua bout.

It is worth noting though that Joshua wants the big unification bout next and would undoubtedly apply for a mandatory exemption if he needed one. Things are really coming together in the heavyweight division.
