Bellator have announced a multi-million dollar deal with Eddie Hearn’s DAZN. Hearn announced DAZN back in May, a streaming service that will show combat sports in the USA.

Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing has become the premier boxing promoter in the UK and is now primed to conquer America.

The announcement came at a Bellator press conference today (Tuesday). Bellator are clearly putting a lot of stock in their deal with DAZN as they are showing their biggest card, possibly to date, exclusively on the streaming service.

The card will see welterweight champion Rory MacDonald challenge for Gegard Mousasi’s middleweight title. The card will also feature the fourth instalment of the Wanderlei Silva vs ‘Rampage’ Jackson saga.

Paramount will host fifteen of Bellator’s events per year, which will also be available on DAZN. The streaming service will host seven more events exclusive to the platform.

This is another big acquisition for Bellator who are quickly becoming a rival to the UFC.
