As if Dillian Whyte vs Joseph Parker was not a big enough fight, the stakes have just been raised. Matchroom Boxing announced today that two titles will be on the line in the huge heavyweight clash.

Dillian Whyte will put his WBC Silver heavyweight title on the line, which he won in 2017. The two will also contest the vacant WBO International championship.

The headline bout of the stacked O2 Arena card was already a pivotal bout. Whyte has been named as a possible opponent for Anthony Joshua if the Deontay Wilder fight cannot be made. The two have fought twice before, once in the amateurs, once in the pro leagues and a third encounter has got to be around the corner.

Joseph Parker lost via decision to Joshua in his last fight but if he beats Whyte, he could still find himself in a title eliminator next.

In addition to the two belts, this bout is for divisional standing. The winner will certainly be next in line for a title shot, or a big name opponent.
