The UFC are looking to book Derek Brunson vs Israel Adesenya for UFC 230. Ariel Helwani reported that the bout is in the works via Twitter, following a social media call-out from Brunson.

UFC 230 takes place inside Madison Square Garden, New York. The bout is far from finalised but if signed, the two middleweights would clash on November 3rd, the biggest card of the year.

This is a fascinating potential match-up. It is a puzzle to be solved for both fighters. Can Derek Brunson’s reaching style land on the elusive ‘Stylebender’? Brad Tavares’ striking is arguably more sophisticated and Adesenya avoided any significant strikes for five rounds.

On the other hand, can Adesenya’s usual modus operandi negate Brunson’s charging advances? Is he still able to slip and move with Brunson applying the pressure and giving him no space?

UFC 230 is almost turning into a middleweight tourney. This is the third exciting fight to be reported for the card in the past two days.

Yesterday it was revealed that Paulo Costa could face Yoel Romero on the card; the day before Weidman/Rockhold 2 was alleged to be in the works. The UFC always try to deliver on every fight when it comes to their MSG card. Adesenya vs Brunson is no exception.
