Netflix are set to add horror flick, ‘In The Tall Grass’ to their ever-growing catalogue of original content. The announcement was made on Tuesday via social media.

The streaming giant has pledged that they will eventually offer original content exclusively. However, this is not to say that Netflix will one day be filled with B-movie shlock. The service’s in-house production group are attempting to offer the stories and big name actors that one could expect to see in cinemas.

Netflix are capitalising on a Hollywood trend by adapting a Stephen King story. In this case, it is a novella that he wrote with his son, Joe Hill.

Patrick Wilson is tapped to star in the adaptation, a familiar face in modern horror. Wilson has starred in ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘Insidious’, two franchises that have dominant the genre in recent years.

Vincenzo Natali will direct the flick, which will release on the streaming service in 2019.
