Combate are reporting that Neil Magny will face Santiago Ponzinibbio in Buenos Aires, Brazil. The welterweight clash will headline the card which will broadcast on November 17th.

Incidentally, Magny was originally planned to face Alex Oliveira. Magny was removed from this bout by the UFC for no apparent reason.

The UFC are perhaps looking to beef up their November slate and capitalise on the attention UFC 230 will bring. After all, Magny and Ponzinibbio are highly ranked. The New York card on November 3rd is set to be one of the promotion’s biggest in 2018.

Although they are not big names, Magny and Santiago are highly ranked welterweights. The UFC may bill Magny versus Ponzinibbio as a key contendership bout.
