Two of the best featherweights in the world are set to collide in an anticipated title fight. Carl Frampton is one of the biggest featherweight names, certainly in the UK. Warrington, is a decorated champion in the division.

Frampton dispatched Luke Jackson on his big night at Windsor Park earlier this month. After the headliner, the speculated title fight with Warrington was set up with an in-ring confrontation.

The bout would see Frampton challenge for Warrington’s IBF world title. Boxing Scene are reporting that the title fight could take place at the end of the year.

Frampton currently holds the WBO interim belt, he captured the strap after defeating Nonito Donaire in March. This gives him an inevitable shot at undisputed champion, Oscar Valdez.

The December event, which is allegedly tapped for Manchester, could therefore set up a future unification fight. With that said, Boxing Scene are also reporting that Valdez wants to fight in December. This pushes back a potential WBO-IBF unification.

Although Wilder vs Fury was also confirmed at Windsor Park, that fight is also yet to be officially announced. We could see Wilder vs Fury announced at the same presser as Warrington vs Frampton. More on this situation as it unfolds.
