Two underrated light heavyweights are set to face off at UFC 232. Yesterday, the UFC announced that Ilir Latifi meets Corey Anderson on December 29th in Las Vegas.
Although Latifi and Anderson are not big names, this is an exciting match-up. Latifi holds finishes over the likes of Sean O’Connell and Ovince Saint Preux.
Anderson has lost whenever he has faced a high level opponent, however, he is still extremely talented.
Anderson appeared on UFC: Unfiltered last week, cutting a personal and quietly compelling promo. Anderson essentially said that his father instilled in him the belief that if you want something done, you should do it yourself. Anderson is primed and motivated to turn his career around.
The main event of the December card will see Cris Cyborg defend her women’s featherweight title against bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes. Latifi versus Anderson looks to be a fun addition to that card.
