Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn has a stadium event in the works for December. He recently revealed to Sky Sports that the event will feature a blockbuster headliner. Who that superfight involves, is yet to be seen.

Amir Khan and Kell Brook have expressed an interest in fighting Manny Pacquiao, as well as each other. Khan has been the most vocal about the Pacquiao clash but Hearn believes Brook could steal it from under his nose.

Hearn notes that Pacquiao is interested in facing the former welterweight champion and Khan’s negotiations could be the deciding factor.

“I met with Pacquiao’s people last week as well, and if Khan is too expensive for Pacquiao, because Pacquiao is very expensive, Pacquiao could fight Brook”.

Despite being in the twilight years of his career, Pacquiao became a target for many in July. Pacquiao stopped Lucas Matthysse, taking the WBA Regular Title. The win also turned Mikey Garcia’s head.

The unified lightweight champion has pound-for-pound domination on his mind. He plans on facing Pacquiao in 2018, before a monumental world title bid against Errol Spence next year. That fight would see Garcia challenging for a world title in a fifth weight class.

Khan versus Brook is of course a long speculated domestic superfight. Whether or not it comes together is dependent on Manny’s next move.
