Dan Rafael is reporting that Queensbury Promotions have struck a deal with ESPN. Frank Warren’s British fight cards are set to be broadcast on ESPN Plus. The sporting giant also televises Top Rank events.

This means that ESPN will broadcast the events featuring Tyson Fury’s shot at Deontay Wilder and Josh Warrington’s IBF title defence versus Carl Frampton.

Boxing’s broadcasting appears to be clearing up, every promotion is picking a side ahead of a ratings war.

Eddie Hearn is striking out on his own in the USA with the DAZN streaming service. In the UK, his Matchroom Boxing cards are broadcast on Sky. Al Haymon’s PBC have recently struck a deal with Showtime and may be closing in on one with Fox. Warren’s promotion will be joining Top Rank at ESPN.

Regardless of who you back, this kind of competition can only be a good thing for the sport.
