On December 1st, Tyson Fury will challenge Deontay Wilder for the WBC heavyweight championship. News has broken today that two more heavyweight stars will also fight on the card.

Joe Joyce, British heavyweight prospect, has been added to the event. Joyce began his pro career with Hayemaker Promotions but recently jumped ship to Premier Boxing Champions. The move was made to collaborate with Al Haymon on a campaign to break the U.S.

Cuban heavy-hitter Luis Ortiz has also been booked for December 1st. At this moment in time, it is not known who Ortiz and Joyce will be facing.

It is possible that they will face each other. However, Ortiz would be a huge step up for Joyce. His last notable opponent was Lenroy Thomas. Joyce knocked out Thomas en route to winning the Commonwealth belt.

With that said, Joyce has youth and athleticism on his side. He has said that he could insert himself into world title talks very soon. If he is facing Ortiz, siding with Haymon was a genius career move.
