On December 29th, UFC 232 emenates from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The card is really coming together.

Brett Okamoto is reporting that the promotion are eyeing the Vegas event for an anticipated light heavyweight rematch. The UFC president revealed to Okamoto that he wants to make Alexander Gustafsson versus Jon Jones 2 for the card.

MMA fans have wanted to see the rematch since their close five rounder in 2013. It was believed that they would get their wish on November 3rd in Madison Square Garden.

However, White denied the claims. Jones apparently needs to cut some weight as he is coming off of a USADA suspension.

UFC 232 looks to be a big night for the promotion. The card will also feature arguably the biggest women’s MMA bout ever. Featherweight titlist Cris Cyborg will defend her belt against 135 pound champion, Amanda Nunes. The winner of that bout would potentially be the best female MMA fighter ever.

The card will also see Michael Chiesa move to welterweight. He will face a former title challenger and a big name in Carlos Condit.

According to MMA Junkie, a legend will return at the event when B.J Penn faces Ryan Hall. Gilbert Melendez is booked against Arnold Allen. Melendez was involved in one of the best slugfests in the sport’s history when he opposed Diego Sanchez.

A key 205 pound clash also takes place on December 29th; Illir Latifi takes on Corey Anderson.

During a week where the UFC have struggled to find a headliner for November 3rd; December 29th has emerged as a star-studded night.
