HEAVYWEIGHT contender Dillian Whyte could return from exile on the undercard of his former foe.

Whyte, who fought out a thriller with Anthony Joshua in 2015 was suspended by UKAD in July after a disputed failed drugs test.

Whyte’s camp, including Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn have claimed that the failed drugs test was an error and not due to performance enhancing drugs.

Whyte’s legal team have been disputing the suspension which stripped Whyte of his WBC mandatory challenger and interim champion position.

Whyte was seen by many as the unheralded champion having toiled through the heavyweight ranking for years without receiving a world title shot.

However, Hearn has told IFL TV that Whyte could return to the ring on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s big to regain his world titles versus Andy Ruiz Jr.

The huge event takes place in Saudi Arabia on December 7.

Hearn said: “It’s not going to be a top 5 to 10 guy but it will be a good fight. We’re working on it.”
