There is a wealth of free content on YouTube channels to satisfy your boxing craving whilst the events are cancelled.

DAZN Saturday Fight Live

Boxing streaming service DAZN have a huge back catelogue of boxing events in addition to brand new ones that can be streamed live.

DAZN isn’t available in the UK yet but there is plenty of content on their YouTube channel that is.

There is a great video up there as part of their Saturday Fight Live series. Oscar De La Hoya commentates on his fight against the unbelievably tough Arturo Gatti in 2001.

Some great insights here and a real education for boxers.

15 Minutes of the Best Rounds in Boxing 2019

Another from DAZN’s YouTube channel, it does what it says on the tin.

This one includes the best rounds from some instant classics that took place last year: Inoue vs Donaire, Lewis Ritson vs Robbie Davies Jr and Joshua vs Ruiz Jr.

It’s perfectly paced keeping you completely gripped.

Shawn Porter vs Keith Thurman

This is a 12 rounder but we’ve all got time at the minute.

The slick-hitting and rangy Thurman went to war with rampaging in-fighter Shawn Porter in 2016.

Their welterweight title fight, which resulted in Thurman defending his WBA world championship.

This bout has it all, Thurman displayed beautifully counter combinations on the back foot with Porter, undeterred dragging him into deep waters with his bruiser style.

It’s a war with real competitve venom and both men using every pugilistic technique in the book.

Four Kings by George Kimball

If you like reading and you are a boxing historian, you should read this one. The beauty of E-readers at times like this is that you don’t have to leave lockdown to buy your entertainment.

This book tells the story of the ‘Fab 4’: Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Tommy Hearns and Evander Holyfield.

Kimball, one of boxing’s greatest writers, chronicles the life and fights of these legendary warriors of the prize ring.
